Baltimore

Assistant Dramaturg

This play analyzes the issues of race at predominantly white university in Baltimore specifically with how students handle a racist cartoon being drawn on the dorm door of a fellow peer. This production mainly saw the dramaturgy team reaching out to experts to organize talkback panels on topics generated from the show. I organized and moderated panel topics of dorm life, post racial, and how to discuss race and differences.

45 Plays for 45 Presidents

Assistant Dramaturg

A series of short plays discussing defining traits of each presidency of the then 45 presidents of America which ranged from slapstick comedy to tragedy. As part of this show, I arranged, filmed, and edited cast interviews and provided complimentary educational material for the splash page.

Water By The Spoonful

Assistant Dramaturge

Several years after Elliot returned to his home in Philadelphia after being wounded while serving in Iraq, the play depicts the aftermath of the death of Ginny, Elliot’s adoptive mother. As Elliot and his cousin Yaz attempt to process their loss, Ginny’s sister Odessa, Elliot’s biological mother, bonds with other recovering addicts on the Narcotics Anonymous support chat room she moderates. In addition to assisting in the creation of a dramaturgy packet for the actors, I served as a liaison between the dramaturgy team and cast to provide in rehearsal assistance while in the double role of assistant director.
